Georgetown District High School is a
Grade 9 to 12/ High School located in the beautiful rolling landscape of Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada. We are one of sixteen high schools in the Halton District School Board. GDHS has been located on its present site
since 1887 and enjoys a rich history and strong relationship with the Georgetown
community.

Currently in our 115th year, our present student and staff of over 1600 believes in a high degree of commitment to both school and
community We value an educational environment where all that
are willing can learn and achieve excellence, both academically
and co-curricularly. We demonstrate caring and commitment as citizens not only to our school but also in our involvement in the Georgetown community as a whole. |

GDHS has a wide variety of programs and courses available to its students. These programs prepare students for university, colleges, apprenticeships or other forms of post-secondary training. We have a demonstrated record of achieving excellence in the field of Academics, Technology and the Arts and also place a strong emphasis on school-to-work transition programs for students wishing to choose this career path. |

Our Cooperative Education program is the largest in the
Halton District School Board. It involves more than 175 local employers in the provision of work placements for our students. We are the “Home of the Rebels” and have a strong tradition in the area of
school athletics.
GDHS has achieved district, regional and provincial awards in many sports, such as volleyball, swimming,
